Earlier this week, Lenovo unveiled the ZUK Z2 smartphone with a powerful processor and some other impressive specs. Pre-orders for the smartphone started the very next day on the company’s official website, as the phone will be made available in China first.

ZUK officially announced today that over 6 million registrations were received for the ZUK Z2, for the smartphone’s first sale in China. ZUK Z2’s success could be attributed to its very affordable price of $275 (€245), making it one of the cheapest phones with Snapdragon 820 on the market.

In addition to that, another impressive fact is that the company surpasses the 6 million registrations mark on the third day of pre-orders. There are still three days left for the first sale, so we’re quite curious to see how high this number can raise. ZUK Z2 officially goes on sale on June 7 at 10:00AM local time in China.

Specs for the ZUK Z2 sure make it a very appealing smartphone at this price range. The phone comes with a 5.0-inch display, smaller compared to the ZUK Z2 Pro. It has a resolution of 1080p and the screen is covered in 2.5D curved glass.

The smartphone has a powerful battery of 3,500mAh and it supports Quick Charge 3.0, which should charge 80% of the battery in under one hour.

ZUK Z2 has USB Type-C port and comes with a 13MP camera, f/2.0 aperture and 78.9-degree-wide viewing angle. It also has phase detection and electronic image stabilization. Aside from that the smartphone can capture 4K videos and has an 8MP camera in the front.

Snapdragon 820 chipset is definitely the selling point for this device, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box and the company’s ZUI 2.0 on top.
