ZTE Axon 7 is expected to be unveiled on May 26

Only a few days before launching the new Axon 7, ZTE released a video to demonstrate the phone’s powerful sound output capabilities and to promote the upcoming smartphone. ZTE Axon 7 will be unveiled on May 26 during a launch event held in China.

The video sent to GizmoChina shows the phone playing back a piano piece, and at first glimpse, it’s difficult to tell that an actual smartphone is involved in the sound output. The end of the video reveals that the music comes from the speakers of the new Axon 7 flagship.

The video confirms that it will come with dual speakers located on the front. The Axon 7 will feature the AK4961 audio DSP codec, which demonstrated excellent audio output in the video. The latest chip from AKM is said to be capable of 32-bit decoding.

The end of the video also provides some more information on the upcoming Axon 7, mainly that it can be used in a VR headset as well. Recently, company officials stated that ZTE decided to use a top-end Sharp 2K panel for the phone's screen and now we know that it was for this purpose precisely.

Considering that it had Hi-Fi sound capabilities and high-resolution display, the Axon 7 should definitely provide an excellent VR experience.

The smartphone will be unveiled on May 26

Axon 7 recently received TENAA clearance, which also provided some information on the configuration of the upcoming ZTE flagship. The latest rumors suggest that it will come with a 5.5-inch display and Snapdragon 820 SoC. It should also have 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space.

ZTE Axon 7 should come with 530 Adreno GPU graphics processing unit and a 3,140 mAh battery. Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 should be installed on the device that’s set to come with a whopping 20MP rear camera and 8MP in the front.
