ZTE unveiled two new Android smartphones in the Blade series during its press conference at MWC 2016 trade fair in Barcelona, Spain.

The Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite target different markets, as their names suggest. According to the Chinese company, ZTE Blade V7 will be available in Germany, Spain, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Mexico in the middle of 2016.

On the other hand, the Blade V7 Lite should go on sale this spring in Russia, Mexico, Spain, Germany, and Thailand. Prices for either of the two haven't been announced yet.

Design-wise, they are pretty decent, but the Blade V7 seems to shine in particular since it features a full metal body. The Blade V7 Lite switches to the bland plastic chassis, but it will also carry a much lower price.

When it comes to specs, ZTE Blade V7 has been confirmed to include a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone comes with only 16GB of storage inside, but ZTE also added a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Almost similar specs, but different design

The Blade V7 sports a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features 2.5D glass coating.

There's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which featured dual-tone LED flash, autofocus and video recording, whereas in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies.

ZTE Blade V7 is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery and offers multiple connectivity options such as LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

The lighter version of Blade V7 comes with a smaller 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It packs a downgraded 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor and 2GB of RAM.

The same amount of storage (16GB) is included, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot. On the back, there's an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera as well. Both cameras come with LED flash.

The Blade V7 Lite is powered by a similar 2,500 mAh battery and offers connectivity features like LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Both smartphones include fingerprint scanners on the back side, and come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.
