14 DAY TRIAL // ZTE is one of the world's largest handset makers specialized in affordable smartphones. The company's latest addition to its portfolio of budget-friendly devices is the Blade D Lux.
The new Blade D Lux is now available for purchase in Vietnam and Singapore for around $175 (€160) outright, TimesNews reports.
Although the affordable smartphone is only available in these two countries at the moment, we expect ZTE will bring it to additional regions in the coming weeks.
Even though it's been priced pretty low, ZTE Blade D Lux comes with decent specs that should make your investment worthwhile.
According to ZTE, the Blade D Lux ships with Android Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but the Chinese company does not mention which version of Lollipop is running inside the smartphone.
Also, don't hope for Marshmallow because it will most likely never come since ZTE Blade D Lux is nothing more than a budget-friendly smartphone.

Design-wise, ZTE Blade D Lux looks common, enough so it won't really stand out from the crowd. It's not an ugly device, but it's definitely not the best-looking entry-level handset.
Moving on to specs, ZTE's smartphone sports a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features 2.5D glass on top.
Another selling point of the phone could be the 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
Furthermore, ZTE Blade D Lux comes with a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera in the front, which is perfect for video calls as well.
At the heart of the Blade D Lux, there's a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a decent 3,000 mAh battery and offers various connectivity options like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.
