ZTE's high-end lineup of Android smartphones, the Axon, has just added a new member which will be available beginning this week. The limited edition ZTE Axon 7 has been recently unveiled by the Chinese company as the next high-end smartphone to be released in the United States.

Customers will be able to purchase the limited edition ZTE Axon 7 for $499.98 at the company's online store. As the title says, the differences between the regular and limited edition versions are mostly about the amount of RAM.

ZTE has announced that the limited edition Axon 7 packs no less than 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory, whereas the standard model includes just 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. However, both phones come with microSD card slot for additional memory capacity (up to 128GB).

Another important new feature added to the limited edition version is Force Touch capability, a technology that's been adopted by Apple and introduced in its iPhones.

It's supposed to work the same way, so if you use “hard press” and “light press” gestures, you will be able to access various commands.

The display packed inside the limited edition ZTE Axon 7 can recognize different levels of pressure, hence the newly added functionality.

Aside from the amount of memory and the addition of Force Touch, there aren't any other differences between the regular and limited edition versions of the Axon 7.

It's worth noting that the normal Axon 7 costs $100 less than the enhanced model, so it's up to each and every one of you to decide whether or not it's worth the investment.

Keep in mind, though, that the Axon 7 is a high-end smartphone that ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.

It's powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
