14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax-owned brand YU is about to launch its most powerful Android smartphone, the YUTOPIA. And while the device might not be a utopia, it certainly isn't “the most powerful smartphone on the planet,” as the company likes to tease it.
Still, YUTOPIA will certainly be one of the most powerful handsets on the market if the rumors regarding its specs prove to be accurate.
YU hasn't confirmed anything related to the YUTOPIA's specs sheet, but it has hinted to a metal-clad body. According to the latest hearsay, the smartphone is likely to be launched in early November.
Moreover, the YUTOPIA might be priced at around Rs 25,000 ($385 / €350), which would make it a great alternative to more expensive flagship smartphones already available on the market.
Moving on to specs, YU YUTOPIA looks like a real beast on paper, so if these rumors are correct, then the smartphone could be the cheapest flagship with such a high-end hardware configuration.
It could be the cheapest handset with Snapdragon 810 CPU and 4GB RAM
First of all, the smartphone is said to come preloaded with Cyanogen OS 12.1 right out of the box, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
Furthermore, the YUTOPIA will boast a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display.
On the inside, the device is rumored to pack a powerful 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit, and 4GB of RAM.
It's said to feature 32GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. On the back, the YUTOPIA should pack a 21-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording, while on the front, there should be a no less impressive 8-megapixel selfie camera.
While there's no word on dual-SIM support and battery, rumor has it the YUTOPIA will offer 4G LTE connectivity, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS.
