CronusMAX PLUS is a relatively unknown device that doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. Get this, it lets people use any kind of modern controller (gamepad) on any platform.

The makers of CronusMAX PLUS start with a really clear statement, “they said it couldn't be done.” Whoever they are, they were wrong. The makers of this little gadget are trying to take advantage of an unfilled gaming niche. There are a lot of people out there with more controllers than they need, why not put them to good use?

We all know that the PlayStation 4 controllers wear out pretty fast, so why not use an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller that you already have around. Sure, CronusMAX PLUS costs just as mush as these replacement controllers, but it’s a one-time purchase.

Use any controller on any console

It sounds insane, but you can do it. All you need is an old controller connected to a USB hub and CronusMAX PLUS, with the latest firmware update.

“We have made the impossible possible by engineering a state of the art USB gateway that enables the CronusMAX PLUS to communicate with the PS4 controllers security authentication via a simple USB hub, allowing it to stay connected full time without the disconnects or resets that have plagued the device for the last 2 years,” wrote the makers of this device.

What makes things even better is the recently added support for the new Xbox One Elite Controller. Microsoft was saying that it’s hardware-limited to Xbox One and Windows 10, but it looks like that’s not really the case.

CronusMAX PLUS is pretty expensive, and you can pick one with $60 ($56), but given all the features implemented, it seems like a good investment. And, to top it all off, it provides keyboard and mouse support for all the consoles. You can check the video below to see what’s really happening.
