If you’re a diehard “Game of Thrones” fan, you probably know the cliffhanger at the end of season 5, and are also aware of the many rumors and fan theories making the rounds online. If you’re not up to speed with all that yet, you might want to stop reading now.

*This article contains major spoilers* regarding the season 5 finale of “Game of Thrones” and possible clues about season 6, which debuts on HBO in the spring of 2016.

The final episode in season 5 saw Jon Snow bleeding in the snow, apparently dead after having been stabbed numerous times by his brothers on The Watch. One of the most popular theories with fans regarding his fate is that Lady Melisandre, who also happens to be on The Wall right then, would invoke the Lord of Light and bring him back.

Kit Harington, who plays Snow, has been spotted in Belfast, where the set corresponding to The Wall is, a few months back, but never in costume. So, for all we knew, he could have been there on visit and / or to hang out with his pals from the set.

Photos have now emerged leaving no room for doubt as to Snow’s fate: he lives. The Daily Mail has pics of Harington in full Jon Snow costume on the Belfast set, shooting scenes.

So whatever happened at the end of season 5 and despite countless promises from the series creators and Harington himself, writers found a way to bring Snow back. Which is just amazing, fans will agree: he was finally coming into his own and he deserved more time to have his story told.
