The latest version of Firefox Developer Edition comes with many new features, but one of the most intriguing ones is WiFi debugging support for the browser's WebIDE.

While we previously talked about some of the new Firefox Developer Edition 42.0a2 features like private browsing and multi-process support (Project Electrolysis, or e10s), we left out some of them, more specifically the features targeting developers.

Connect and debug websites on your Android devices via WiFi

The first one is support for WiFi debugging, a feature which can be used in parallel with Firefox's built-in USB-based debugging feature to allow developers to test their websites on mobile devices and make changes in real-time.

The feature can be accessed via the WebIDE, and is currently supported on Firefox for Desktop 42 and later, and for Firefox for Android 42 or higher.

Mozilla provides instructions on how to activate WiFi debugging from your desktop to your Android phone, allowing developers to create websites that render perfectly on Android devices without having to mess around with USB cables and the Android Debug Bridge (adb) toolkit.

React Developer Tools support for Firefox

While the React Developer Tools are being developed by the Facebook team to simplify the debugging process of applications written in React, the company's own JavaScript framework, the Firefox team also announced the Developer Edition of Firefox is fully compatible with Facebook's new project.

There's already a Firefox extension available, which developers can install and find those pesky bugs in their React JavaScript code.

React Developer Tools can currently inspect any React Renderer, including the Component hierarchy, props, state, and more.

Windows 10 support for the Developer Edition skin

Since the Firefox Developer Edition and the stable version of Firefox can run at the same time, many versions ago, the Developer Edition got its own, darker browser skin.

With version 42.0.a2, this darker theme is now fully-Windows 10 compatible.

You can download the latest Firefox Developer Edition from Softpedia for your Mac, Linux, or Windows PCs.
