SEGA has just announced that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be launched on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Steam) on November 10. As anyone can obviously notice, there's no mention of the PlayStation 5 version, which points to a possible deal between SEGA and Microsoft to make the next Yakuza game a timed-exclusive.

In fact, that's exactly what it is, as SEGA confirmed the PlayStation 5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon won't be available until March 2, 2021. The good news is everyone who buys the PlayStation 4 version of the game when it launched on November 10, or later, is eligible for a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version.

The same goes for those who buy the Xbox One version of the game and then upgrade to Microsoft's new Xbox Series X console. However, this isn't new information since SEGA and Microsoft previously announced that the Xbox Series X/S versions will offer Smart Delivery upgrade path for Xbox One owners of the game.

Along with the new information about the PlayStation 5 version of the game, SEGA releases a new trailer that offers a first look at PS5 footage of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Although the game retains the same winning formula, combat in the next Yakuza game will be turn-based rather than real-time.

Also, it's important to mention that the game features voice acting from an impressive cast of actors, including George Takei, Kaiji Tang, Andrew Morgado, Greg Chun, and Elizabeth Maxwell.

It's also worth mentioning that the PlayStation 5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be available standalone for $60, but not before March 2, 2021. The same price is available for the other versions, at least in the United States.

Even though Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a timed-exclusive title, we're certain that fans of the series will be able to play the game at launch considering the fact that it will be available on just about every other platform except PlayStation 5.
