14 DAY TRIAL // Indian OEM XOLO has just announced the upcoming availability of an affordable Android smartphone that will pack a large 4,000 mAh battery, the Era 4K.
The smartphone will be available in both white and dark blue colors on February 22, a new report confirms. Customers who want to grab the XOLO Era 4K should know the smartphone will be exclusively sold via flash sale at Gadgets360 for Rs 6,499 ($95 / €85).
For less than $100, customers will get a smartphone that embeds a massive 4,000 mAh battery, which should provide up to 32 hours of talk time or up to 26 days of standby time.
Even though the specs inside the Era 4K aren't impressive at all, they are decent for a smartphone priced under $100.
Good specs for an affordable smartphone
It's also worth mentioning that XOLO Era 4K will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but there's no information on a possible Marshmallow upgrade.
On the inside, the Era 4K comes equipped with a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
XOLO Era 4K sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.
At the back, the affordable smartphone includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper with OmniVision sensor, autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording, whereas at the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera with OmniVision PureCel sensor and f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity-wise, XOLO 4K Era is an all-rounder. It comes with 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS with AGPS.
It's unclear whether or not the smartphone will go on sale at other retailers across the country aside from Gadgets360 anytime soon.
