The laptop sports high-power cooling system, 15.6" display

After launching the powerful Mi MIX S2 Android-powered smartphone, Xiaomi unveiled today the marvelous new 15.6-inch Mi Gaming Laptop, designed especially for gamers.

With the Xiaomi Mi Gaming laptop, the Chinese electronics and software company has officially entered the gaming laptop market in an attempt to offer its customers more than mobile phones powered by Google's Android operating system. Their first-ever gaming laptop comes with top-notch features, and it targets casual gamers.

Xiaomi didn't make much fuss about the Mi Gaming Laptop, as they only offered the media an image with some of the leading technical specifications of the device. As such, we can tell you that the 15.6-inch laptop is powered by Intel's 7th-generation Core i7 or i5 processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage.

Incorporates Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 or 1050 Ti GPUs

Gamers would probably want to know by now which type of graphics card the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop incorporates, so we can tell you that you can choose between Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 or an GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. While the 1050 Ti model has only 8GB, the more capable GTX 1060 model unit comes with 16GB of RAM.

Probably the coolest feature of Xiaomi's first gaming laptop is the built-in, high-power cooling system with hotkey turbo cooling technology. Xiaomi claims that Mi Gaming is the coolest high-performance laptop on the market, but it's also amongst the heaviest due to the extra cooling components, weighing about 2.7kg (~5.9 pounds).

The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop provides gamers a high-res gaming experience with its 15.6-inch wide-color gamut display with ultra-thin bezels and integrated Dobly Sound speakers and Sony Hi-Res certified audio. The laptop also features a professional, 16-million color four-zone gaming keyboard with 30 n-key rollover and 5 macro keys.

It also features 10 interface ports that are efficiently and logically designed to offer gamers a richer computing experience. The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop will be available for purchase starting April 13 only in mainland China, priced at RMB 8,999 (€1150) for the 16GB RAM/GTX 1060 model and RMB 5,999 (€770) for the 8GB RAM/1050 Ti variant.
