One of the most popular mid-range Android smartphones launched by Chinese handset maker Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 4G is now available for pre-order internationally.

Introduced about a year ago in China, the smartphone made it to other Asian countries soon afterwards, but beginning this week it's available for shipping to anywhere in the world, a new report claims.

As expected, the smartphone is unlocked and customers will be pleased to know that shipping is free and will commence on July 24.

Those who wish to pre-order the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will be able to do so for only $150 outright via e-retailer GearBest.

At that price and with those specs, the Redmi Note 4G is bang for the buck. The smartphone recently received MIUI 6.3.5 update based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, which is a major upgrade from the previous Android 4.2 Jelly Bean that was originally installed on the device.

4G LTE support is included, too

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is equipped with a more than decent 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by a 305 graphics processing unit and no less than 2GB of RAM.

On the back, the device packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Although the Redmi Note 4G comes with only 8GB of internal memory, the smartphone features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Also, Xiaomi's mid-range Android smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 267ppi (pixel per inch) density.

The Redmi Note 4G is powered by a high-capacity 3,100 mAh battery, which should provide up to 32 days of standby time or up to 38 hours of talk time (14 hours in 3G mode).
