It's been less than two months since Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 phablet with octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor and 3GB RAM.

Today, the Chinese company has announced that an improved version of the Redmi Note 3 will soon be available for purchase in the Mainland.

The Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with slightly different specs as compared to the original model launched back in November. Even though it's been named Redmi Note 3 Pro, the new smartphone isn't a significant boost over the previous model.

For example, the Redmi Note 3 Pro is powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, coupled with an Adreno 510 graphics processing unit.

According to Xiaomi, the new phablet will be available with either 2GB RAM and 16GB storage or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Naturally, they will be differently priced, though, we don't have any details on how much they will cost.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro boasts an impressive 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and video recording, as well as a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Innovative display technology that adjusts readability by changing each pixel

Another major selling point of the phablet could be the massive 4,050 mAh battery that features fast charging technology. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 3 Pro's battery should charge from 0% to 50% in just one hour.

It's also worth mentioning that the Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with a fingerprint sensor positioned on the back cover, as well as a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution that features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Other highlights of the phone include 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as 3G, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 with OTG support, VoLTE (voice over LTE) and GPS with GPS and GLONASS.
