Chinese company Xiaomi has just unveiled its own MIUI 7 interface for Android smartphones. Along with the new reveal, the handset maker confirmed it would start selling a limited edition Mi4i smartphone in India.

According to a new report, Xiaomi Mi4i Limited Edition will be available in India for only Rs 12,999 outright, which is about $200 or €180. The device will be available in Blue, Pink and Yellow color options.

Potential customers should also know that the limited edition Xiaomi Mi4i can only be purchased via the official website from August 25.

It's also worth mentioning that there will be only one version (16GB) of the Xiaomi Mi4i Limited Edition available for purchase, unlike the standard model that comes in 16GB and 32GB variants.

Only 16GB internal memory and no microSD card slot

Spec-wise, the smartphone comes with a more than decent 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The amount of storage inside the Xiaomi Mi4i Limited Edition is very important since the smartphone lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Furthermore, the handset sports a 5-inch OGS (One Glass Solution) capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 441ppi (pixel per inch). Xiaomi also claims that the phone's screen features sunlight display technology which should improve readability.

On the back, the Mi4i Limited Edition packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper that features dual two-tone LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Xiaomi's handset is powered by a large 3,120 mAh battery, which should provide up to 1.5 days of moderate usage, according to the Chinese company.

Last but not least, the smartphone offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
