Chinese OEM Xiaomi has already launched a few Android smartphones in the half of the year, but there are still several months until the end of the year, so we expect the new device to be announced.

One of the new devices Xiaomi plans to launch this year is the Mi Max, a phablet that will pack a huge display and high-end specs.

Unfortunately, we don't know when exactly Xiaomi Mi Max will be launched and how much it will cost, but rumor has it the phablet will be announced in May. It will initially be made available in China, but we suspect Xiaomi will release it in other Asian countries soon afterwards.

To make things even more interesting and hype up the Mi Max, Xiaomi has just published a teaser image that shows a small part of the upper side of the phablet. We can't tell for sure how big the Mi Max will be, but judging by the picture, you will be able to carry one in your pocket without any real problem.

Although huge, it perfectly fits the pocket of your jeans

Considering that previous rumors claim Xiaomi Mi Max will boast a huge 6.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display, it remains to be seen how large your pockets must be so you can fit the massive phablet.

No other details about the Mi Max have been revealed by Xiaomi, but sources familiar with the company's plans suggest the phablet will come equipped with a powerful 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit, as well as either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

It will be fully made of metal and it won't feature Xiaomi's logo on the front side. Also, the phablet will include a fingerprint sensor, but not on the front since the smartphone won't come with a physical Home button.

The Mi Max might be just the first device from a new family of smartphones that Xiaomi plans to reveal next month. If this speculation proves to be accurate, we can expect other huge Android phablets from Xiaomi by the end of the year.
