Xiaomi fans rejoices, as the Chinese company has just announced MIUI 7 will be released globally on October 27. MIUI 7 has been in testing for more than two months, which should ensure the stable version won't be plagued by bugs or performance issues.

According to Xiaomi, MIUI 7 will be rolled out globally beginning October 27 to 7 devices. If you own one of the following smartphones, then you should check for the update on the date mentioned earlier: Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, and Redmi 2 / Prime.

If you don't see your device among those that have been confirmed to receive MIUI 7 later this month, then you should worry too much since Xiaomi stated that they are working hard to get other devices supported as soon as possible.

For Xiaomi fans living in China, the handset maker announced that stable version of MIUI 7 will be available for download beginning October 27, the same date the software update will be rolled out globally.

An important, highly anticipated update

MIUI 7 is a major improvement over the previous versions of the user interface. Xiaomi has already confirmed the MIUI 7 will bring four system UIs at launch: Rose, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze and High Life.

Due to some under the hood changes, MIUI 7 should greatly (30%) improve the time it takes for stock apps to load on Xiaomi smartphones.

MIUI 7 also contains additional controls that allows users to restrict apps from using background data, which should save some battery life.

A new Child Mode will be added too, along with XXL Text that allows users to choose from five different font sizes.

With the new Auto DnD (Do Not Disturb) mode, MIUI 7 users will be able to pair their devices with the Mi Band automatically and mute their phones when it detects they're asleep.

A lot more features will be implemented with MIUI 7, so if you are one of the lucky owners of a Xiaomi smartphone listed earlier make sure to check for a new update early next week.
