Xiaomi has recently unveiled the all-new Xiaomi 12 Series, and just as expected, the two devices (the standard version and the Pro sibling) come with high-end specifications.

The Xiaomi 12 sports a 6.28-inch display, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro is the larger option at 6.73 inches. Both are equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and depending on the configuration you choose, the device can be equipped with a maximum of 12 GB of RAM.

Originally launched in China but also projected to go live in international markets as well, the Xiaomi 12 Series starts at RMB 4,699 (that’s approximately $735) for the 6.28-inch model with 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Meanwhile, the top Xiaomi 12 Pro will sport 256GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM.

Only available in China for now

Xiaomi says it’ll also launch a Xiaomi 12X model that will come with a lower price tag. The device will apparently be powered by a Snapdragon 870 chip, so in theory, it won’t feature the power of the latest-gen models. However, Xiaomi 12X should be the right choice for someone drooling over the look of the new Xiaomi 12 Series but without paying a higher price tag for it.

This model will be sold in China with an RMB 3,199 (about $500) price tag.

Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a triple-camera configuration, and each unit sports a 50-megapixel sensor. The main camera uses a Sony IMX707 sensor, and Xiaomi says this allows for much better photos in low-light.

Just as expected, the Chinese tech company has focused substantially on battery efficiency as well, so the two devices come with 4,500 mAh and 4,600 mAh batteries, respectively. Both will support 67W fast charging, so in theory, they should go from 0 to 100% in just a matter of minutes.
