Great news for fans of the turn-based tactical genre, as Snapshot Games, the studio behind the highly-anticipated Phoenix Point, has just announced their game will be released on December 3. Initially slated for a September 3 release, Phoenix Point revealed back in July that it has decided to delay the game until December.

A few days ago the studio announced the game will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store on December 3. Also, Snapshot Games confirmed that Phoenix Point will be available for pre-order on November 8 for as low as $40.

Players will be able to purchase any of the three digital retail editions that will go live later this week: Based Edition ($40), Deluxe Edition ($60), and Ultra Edition ($80). A Season Pass that includes 5 DLCs will be available as well for $30.

The Digital Deluxe Edition contains a desktop wallpaper, two digital in-game items (Living Gun set and Chitin Armor set), a Digital Art Book, and The Compendium. The Ultra Edition version includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition plus the Season Pass.

Speaking of the Season Pass, Snapshot Games has already confirmed three of the DLCs: Blood and Titanium, Legacy of the Ancients, and Festering Skies. Information about the other two DLCs will be revealed at a later date. Also, those who pre-order Phoenix Point will receive the game's soundtrack for free.

Snapshot Games confirmed that everyone who backed Phoenix Point before March 12, 2019, at 10 AM PST (including all Fig backers, regardless of tier) will receive the Season Pass for no additional charge.

One other thing worth mentioning is that Snapshot Games plans to bring Phoenix Point to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but that won't happen until 2020.

In case you didn't know, Phoenix Point is a turn-based tactical combat game developed by Julian Gollop, the mastermind behind the XCOM series. The game is set in 2047 on an Earth invaded by Lovecraft-inspired horrors that are on the verge of wiping out humanity.

Players start the game in command of a lone base, Phoenix Point, and face a mix of strategic and tactical challenges as they try to save themselves and the rest of humankind from annihilation by the alien threat.
