Microsoft has just announced that it has decided to expand the availability of its Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta) service to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who are also part of its Insider program.

The service will be available through the Xbox App on Windows 10 PCs for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

With Xbox Cloud Gaming, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to enjoy more than 100 high-quality Xbox console games with their friends, pick up from a saved game they started on their Xbox, or even try out a new game from the Xbox Game Pass library to decide whether or not it’s worth downloading on the console.

Additionally, the cloud service makes it possible to turn all types of PCs into a gaming device, regardless of their hardware configurations. The only thing need is a compatible controller connected via Bluetooth or USB. Everything is done via the Xbox app, which now features a “cloud games” button where players can select the game they wish and start playing.

According to Microsoft, Xbox Cloud Gaming now includes even more new features to help players get started, including easy-to-access information, and the ability to invite people, even those also playing on cloud without the game installed, to join in a game.

In case you’re wondering why Microsoft is doing this, the Redmond-based giant revealed that the decision behind the move is to “gather additional feedback from the Xbox community to help us refine the experience ahead of a broader rollout, which we’ll have more to share in the future.”

So, if you’re not part of Microsoft’s Insider program, don’t fret, the Xbox Cloud Gaming will eventually be available to more Game Pass subscribers as the company manages to fine-tune the service to accommodate more players.
