The data outages have been reported on T-Mobile in the US

Some Google Nexus 6 owners have been experiencing LTE outages on carriers from all over the world since the beginning of August. In the US, T-Mobile customers have been the most affected by the occurrence while issues have also been reported in many other countries.

Data connection on multiple Nexus 6 phones is cutting out without any valid explication, and in the US, this seems to be happening preponderantly on T-Mobile network. Complaints about this occurrence have been made online, but there doesn't seem to exist a pattern in the time and location, according to Android Police.

The issue was temporarily solved for a T-Mobile client after the customer service department performed a manual over-the-air update via Wi-Fi, but the problem returned after a day or two.

T-Mobile has stated that they're aware of the issue but that it isn't limited to their network, and the US carrier is working with Google and Motorola on finding a permanent solution.

Some say that T-Mobile won't be able to fix the issue until Monday, which means that many users will be left to deal with it all over the weekend. A thread on the Product Forums shows that Google is aware of the annoyance, and users from many other countries are experiencing the problem too.

Nexus 6 users in other countries are experiencing the same problem

Not only Nexus 6 owners from the US are in this frustrating situation, as it turns out such problems have also been reported by users from Canada, Australia, Finland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Mexico, Germany, and Hong Kong.

It's unclear at this point what's causing this issue for Nexus 6 owners from all over the world. It was first thought that the August Security patch could be the culprit, but it seems that even Nexus 6 users with old and new firmware, official and after-market ROMs are affected by the same problem with the lack of LTE.
