Four editions of the game are now available for pre-order

Although Blizzard initially hinted at a late summer launch for the next World of Warcraft expansion, probably do to COVID-19 Shadowlands won't arrive until later this year. In any case, we now know for certain that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be released on October 27, and we've also learned that no less than four editions of the expansions are now available for pre-purchase.

First, we have the cheapest Shadowlands Base Edition that costs $40 / €40 / £35. It only includes the expansion and offers a new lower entry point compared to previous expansions. Then, we have the Shadowlands Heroic Edition that's up for grabs for $55 / €55 / £50 and it only comes in digital form. This specific version includes a character boost and the Ensorcelled Everwyrm mount, which additionally provides access to a quest line through which players can earn the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmogrification set.

One of the most expensive editions is the Shadowland Epic Edition (digital only), which costs $75 / €75 / £70. It includes everything in the Heroic Edition plus the Anima Wyrmling pet, the Wraithchill cosmetic weapon effect, the Eternal Traveler's Hearthstone, which provides a unique visual effect, and 30 days of game time.

Last but not least, we have the Shadowlands Collector's Edition that's priced to sell for $115 / €115 / £110. This is a limited-edition boxed set that comes with the Epic Edition content along with various mementos such as four pins bearing the sigils of the Covenants, a mouse pad, a hardcover Art of the Shadowlands book, and a key to download the Shadowlands soundtrack.

If you plan to buy any World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion, you should keep in mind that the Heroic and Epic Editions are unlocked immediately upon pre-purchase. Also, pre-ordering any edition of the expansion will open the ability for players to create Pandaren and Allied Race Death Knights.
