Activision-Blizzard has recently stated that it won't offer any subscription numbers for World of Warcraft in the future, but the latest ones suggest the number of MMORPG players has been downsized again to the amount reported ahead of Warlords of Draenor launch.

We can expect that amount to continue to decrease in the coming months since Blizzard won't be delivering any new content until fall next year.

World of Warcraft addicts are probably anxious to know when the next major expansion for their favorite game will arrive, and Blizzard will probably announce it later today at BlizzCon 2015.

If you can't wait until then, here is something that you will be pleased to hear. It looks like “Legion,” the next World of Warcraft expansion, is set to arrive sometime in late September 2016.

The release date of the expansion shows up in an image that briefly appeared on Battle.net website, so it's as accurate as it gets.

According to this image, World of Warcraft: Legion expansion is expected to be released “on or before September 21, 2016.”

Deluxe Edition comes with free digital content for multiple Blizzard games

Players who pre-purchase Legion expansion will get a level 100 character boost instantly. Also, they will get early access to the new Demon Hunter hero class.

As for pricing, the image also reveals how much World of Warcraft fans will have to pay for the Legion expansion. It looks like the Digital Standard Edition will be available for pre-purchase for $49.99 while the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost no less than $69.99.

The Digital Deluxe Edition also contains some in-game goodies, such as the Illidari Felstalker mount and Nibble pet for World of Warcraft. Additional digital content for Diablo 3, Starcraft II and Heroes of the Storm will be included in this edition as well.

Keep in mind that the beta for World of Warcraft: Legion is expected to start later this year, so if you want to participate, you can now sign up on the Battle.net website.
