Apple continues to be one of the preferred names that individuals and companies across the world sue for a wide variety of reasons, and now Cupertino is sent to the court for an accident that took place into one of its stores.

Lovey Love Harries has filed a lawsuit against Apple after she suffered major injuries in an Apple Store in Florida, explaining in court documents that it was all caused by the “dangerous metal wall fixtures” at the store location of 1030 W. Forest Hill Boulevard, Wellington, Florida.

The woman says she paid a visit to the store to have their iPhone repaired, but when an Apple employee attempted to get an iPhone case from the wall, he dropped a sharp metal shelf bolder on her left arm.

Apple tight-lipped on the case

The suit goes on to point to Apple as the party that’s responsible for the incident, indicating not only that the company failed to warn customers of the danger, but also that it was negligent when allowing staff to handle the equipment.

“Plaintiff was severely and seriously injured; suffered and will continue to suffer pain and injury; has become lame and disabled and upon information and belief, will be permanently injured; that she has been compelled to spend sums of money and incur liability for medical care and treatment. Upon information and belief, will be required to spend and incur liability therefore in the future,” the documents reveal.

The woman is now seeking damages from Apple, with the company not yet issuing a statement on the case and whether it might be interested in a settlement or not.

It’ll be interesting to see how this legal dispute develops, especially because cases against Apple rarely make the headlines more than once, as Cupertino typically prefers remains tight-lipped on all complaints and settle lawsuits quietly.
