Just the other day, a woman in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal burglary after breaking into one of her neighbor's house.

The woman was discovered by the home owner, Sharla Murray, at about 4.30 p.m. Authorities were alerted and, soon enough, the woman, identified as 44-year-old Kelly Bancroft, was taken into custody.

The woman was discovered doing her laundry

In their case report, the law enforcement officers who arrested Kelly Bancroft say the woman was discovered by her neighbor in the bathroom, doing her laundry.

She wasn't even using a washing machine. She was found kneeling next to the bathtub, which was full of water and clothes. What's more, it looks like the woman was trying to wash her laundry using shampoo rather than detergent.

Perhaps the woman had to opt for this uncanny washing technique because, since the house wasn't hers, she didn't really know her way around it and so couldn't find the washing machine or a handful or two of laundry detergent.

When caught, the woman tried to make a run for it

It is understood that, when she was discovered by her neighbor Sharla Murray, 44-year-old Kelly Bancroft first locked herself in the bathroom.

Then, when the neighbor left the house to get help, she got out and tried to make a run for it. She didn't take her clothes with her and so, when Sharla Murray finally got back into her bathroom, there was wet laundry all over the floor.

Kelly Bancroft did a pretty good job evading her neighbor but, unfortunately, police officers didn't take long to track her down and handcuff her. As mentioned, the woman now faces charges for trespassing and criminal burglary.

Newsday tells us Kelly Bancroft is scheduled to make an appearance in court this coming October 22. For now, it is unclear whether or not she has a lawyer to defend her.
