If you’re an avid Reddit user and also have a Microsoft Band, you’re in luck because, thanks to a new Baconit update, you can get all notifications right on your wrist.

Baconit, which is currently one of the most popular Reddit clients on Windows Phone, is now at version 4.3 and comes with several improvements that include Microsoft Band integration.

You can thus add the Baconit tile to either a Microsoft Band 1 or 2 device and receive new inbox message notifications right on the wrist. Additionally, you can tap the Baconit tile to check unread messages, without the need to unlock the phone.

Plethora of other improvements

The new version of Baconit also includes full notification center support, with the developer now saying that the app can add all new inbox messages to the notification center, which is always synced to the inbox. When you read a message in the app, it is automatically removed from the notification center, and the unread message count will be updated in both the Baconit tile and the lock screen.

The message inbox has been revamped too and now includes a refresh button, as well as several fixes, among which one aimed at the “Mark as read” option that previously worked incorrectly. And what’s more, inbox messages are automatically detected when the app isn’t running, and this is clearly a feature that all redditors out there find very helpful because it already exists on rival platforms.

And last but not least, the desktop and lock screen image updating process should now run more smoothly and be bug-free, as the developer has “fixed a ton of bugs here.”

Overall, the application should now work faster and be more reliable, which is clearly welcome, given the fact that Baconit is one of the most popular Reddit clients on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile.
