Microsoft is working around the clock on making Windows 11 available to all eligible devices out there, with the company planning to reach the broad availability phase by the summer.

In the meantime, however, the growth of Windows 11 is taking place at a slower pace than anticipated, with the latest AdDuplex data revealing the market share of this particular operating system increased by only 0.01 percent in the last 30 days.

In other words, Windows 11 recorded almost no share increase, reaching 19.4 percent and therefore remaining the third most-used modern version of Windows out there.

Windows 10 version 21H2 continues to be number one with 28.5 percent, while Windows 10 21H1 is the runner-up with pretty close figures, as it runs on 26.5 percent of Windows devices out there.

On the other hand, the number of Windows insiders has increased, most likely as a result of all the massive improvements shipped by Microsoft lately as part of its preview builds. Windows Insider PCs now account for 0.6 percent of the Windows computers out there, up from 0.3 percent.

The Windows 11 rollout

Meanwhile, Microsoft says the rollout of Windows 11 has entered the last stage, so the broad availability should be reached any day now.

“The upgrade offer to Windows 11 is entering its final phase of availability and is designated for broad deployment for eligible devices. Since the launch of Windows 11 in October, we have seen strong demand and preference for Windows 11 with people upgrading their eligible PCs at twice the rate we saw for Windows 10. Based on this trend, we are advancing the pace of the rollout faster than we originally announced and entering the final phase of availability for Windows 11 ahead of our initial plan of mid-2022,” Microsoft says.
