Microsoft is getting ready to release a new Moment update for Windows 11, with recent evidence discovered by Internet users proving that another pack of improvements is just around the corner.

Microsoft is apparently getting ready to bring the Moment 3 update to the Beta channel, and while no official announcement on this front exists, it looks like the 22624 build will provide users with a glimpse into what the new release will bring.

As reported by Neowin, there is a very good chance that Moment 3 will go live to production devices with an enablement package.

This is both good news and bad news. First and foremost, the installation will be a breeze, and the likelihood of users hitting bugs is extremely reduced.

But on the other hand, this also suggests that Moment 3 is unlikely to bring too many big changes. This isn’t necessarily surprising, as Microsoft is believed to be focusing more on the 23H2 update due in the second half of this year for new features and bigger improvements.

The rollout of version 22H2 continues

In the meantime, it’s worth knowing that Microsoft hasn’t even completed the rollout of Windows 11 version 22H2.

According to the company’s latest update on the status of the rollout, Windows 11 version 22H2 is now in the phase of general availability for those who manually check for updates.

“Windows 11, version 22H2 is now broadly available to all users with eligible devices who check for updates. Starting in January 2023, Home and Pro consumer and non-managed business devices running Windows 11, version 21H2 will be automatically updated to version 22H2,” Microsoft says.

“Since Windows 10, we have been helping Windows users stay up to date and secure with supported versions of Windows through automatic updates. We are utilizing this same approach for Windows 11 to help you stay protected and productive. As always, you will have the ability to choose a convenient time for your device to restart and complete the update.”
