Sticky Notes is an application that evolved a lot lately, and by the looks of things, Microsoft has no intention to stop improving it with even more features.

The next big update for Sticky Notes could thus bring image support, technically making it possible for users to embed photos into their notes.

Teased by Microsoft engineer Jen Gentleman on Twitter, this feature is currently in the works, and right now, the software giant is just looking for feedback in anticipation of the public launch.

As you can see in the photo included in the article, the image support would come with a bunch of extra features, like options to save the picture to the device, open in the Photos app on Windows 10, or just delete it completely from the note.

The image will be displayed both in the note and in the list of notes, and users will also be allowed to add extra text, with the same formatting options as before available.

Sticky Notes improvements

Sticky Notes has indeed improved substantially, and a recent major update brought support for Microsoft account, allowing your notes to roam between devices. Basically, as long as you use a Microsoft account to log in Sticky Notes, you can have your notes synced from one device to another.

Microsoft is also working on a mobile version of the app, which technically pushes this feature a step further by bringing all your notes on the go if the same Microsoft account is used.

Sticky Notes has also launched on the web, and your notes can now be seen right within a browser, but also as part of OneNote.

It remains to be seen when this feature would land for users, but as it happens every time, insiders are very likely to be the first to try it out ahead of a public rollout.
