Microsoft has recently released Windows 10 build 11082 to Windows insiders enrolled in the fast ring, but as compared to the previous versions, this new one comes without a change log.

You’re probably aware of Microsoft’s new approach to provide release information only for new versions, no matter if we’re talking about OS updates, new Windows 10 builds, or app updates, only if there’s something really worth mentioning, so it’s very clear from the very beginning that 11082 won’t bring too many changes.

The focus is now on OneCore

In fact, Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, himself explained in a blog post that Windows 10 build 11082 only brings improvements in terms of performance and bug fixes, as the Windows team is more focused on dealing with feedback received after the rollout of the November Update. So bigger changes are expected later as we advance towards the final version of Redstone.

“With this build, you won’t see big noticeable changes or new features just yet. Right now, the team is focused on product improvements based on the feedback we’re hearing on the November update to Windows 10. This includes the changes that have also been going out as cumulative updates through Windows Update on your PCs running the Windows 10 November Update as well as on phones running Windows 10 too,” Aul explained.

At the same time, Aul also revealed that what Microsoft is trying to do right now is improve OneCore, the shared core across Windows devices that’s supposed to bring significant improvements on PCs, smartphones and Xbox consoles in the coming months.

“We’re doing some code refactoring and other engineering work to make sure OneCore is optimally structured for teams to start checking in new features and improvements in the new year,” he said.

Remember that for the time being, this new version is only available for users that are part of the fast ring, but depending on the number of found bugs, it could be released to all testers very soon.
