Concept imagines a truly useful control center in Windows 10

While Microsoft doesn’t necessarily seem to be in a rush to bring a control center to Windows 10, the skilled designers out there are trying to lend the company a hand by proposing several design ideas which could eventually make their way to the operating system.

This is the case of a concept created by the super-talented designer Zee-Al-Eid Ahmad Rana and which envisions a Windows 10 Control Center that comes with pretty much everything you need.

As its name suggest, a Control Center would be supposed to put you in control of essential settings, such as volume level, network, brightness, and other similar things.

Right now, you can already access some using the flyouts in the system tray, as well as the quick actions in the Action Center, but what if all of these are mixed for a more straightforward approach in a control center?

All-in-one Control Center

This is what this concept proposes, as clicking any particular flyout still launches its settings, only that they all come as part of the Control Center overall. So technically, everything’s bundled with the Control Center for a unified experience from one end to another.

And of course, just as expected, this proposed Control Center comes with a design that perfectly fits Windows 10 and which relies on Fluent Design with transparency and everything.

Certainly, Microsoft should at least check out this happen and use some of the ideas, if not the entire concept, as the starting point for the Windows 10 Control Center that everyone needs.

Unfortunately, you really shouldn’t hold your breath for a Control Center in Windows 10. The just-released May 2020 Update doesn’t bring any changes in this regard, while the next update, likely to be version 2009 and due in the fall, will be a little bit more than a service pack with the focus on under-the-hood improvements.
