The standard model should pack 3GB RAM, 32GB storage

Acer introduced the Jade Primo in early September, at IFA 2015 trade fair. The company confirmed some of the Windows 10 smartphone's specs, which point to a flagship device.

In fact, Acer Jade Primo might be the only Windows 10 Mobile handset that could be able to compete with Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones.

Even though Microsoft's flagships come with much better cameras and displays, Acer's Jade Primo could be a decent alternative if it is priced lower than these Lumias.

Today, a new Acer device, dubbed S58, has appeared at GFXBench database. The smartphone is powered by Windows Phone (presumably Windows 10 Mobile) and packs specs similar to those of the Jade Primo.

However, there are some inconsistencies in the GFXBench listing, as some of the specs included don't match those announced by Acer.

A more affordable Jade Primo might be on the way

This means that either the prototype unit tested provided the benchmark with some wrong specs, or Acer plans to launch a downgraded version of Jade Primo along with the standard model.

For example, Acer announced several weeks ago that Jade Primo would come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Acer S58 has recently appeared at GFXBench with only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. This type of strategy is not unheard of among handset makers, so it won't come as a surprise if Acer Jade Prime is available in multiple variants.

The 2GB model will sell as a more affordable version of the Jade Primo, so Acer will be able to cover more price tiers with the same device without having to launch another Windows 10 Mobile handset at the same time.

Obviously, none of this is be accurate if the benchmark listed at GFXBench is the result of wrong reporting on the tested prototype.
