Windows 10 will debut on July 29, and just like any other Windows version out there, it will be pre-installed on a plethora of new devices, including PCs and laptops, which will go on sale during the same day.

While some believed that Microsoft might have a hard time bringing Windows 10 PCs to the market on day 1, it turns out that bringing new devices in stores on the same day the new operating system launches is the actual plan of the company, and in a statement for Bloomberg, a Redmond spokesperson has said that Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Acer will support it.

This means that devices manufactured by all these Microsoft partners will be there in stores on July 29, so if you want to purchase a new computer created by any of them, you should be able to do that without having to wait a single more day.

The best way to get Windows 10 on July 29

Basically, by purchasing a new PC with Windows 10 pre-installed on July 29, you become one of the first customers to get the new operating system, as Windows 7 and 8.1 users might have to wait a little bit longer until they get their hands on the new software.

Windows insiders will all receive Windows 10 on July 29, Microsoft has said, but on the other hand, those upgrading from Windows 7 and 8.1 will get it in waves, as compatibility checks are completed. Because of these compatibility issues that might appear, Redmond doesn’t plan to roll out Windows 10 for upgraders on day 1, as additional tweaks would still be needed.

And yet, the company adds, at some point, everyone will get it no matter if incompatible apps are detected or not, but some options will still be provided to address these compatibility issues and make sure that everything works according to plan.
