It also provides a list of devices to be upgraded first

Microsoft was expected to start the Windows 10 Mobile rollout in early 2016, but the company has never provided clear specifics on when Windows Phone devices will be allowed to install the new OS.

But according to German carrier T-Mobile, the release is now imminent, but it would only take place in stages, so only some devices would get it at first.

As WMPU notes, T-Mobile Germany has also published the list of devices to get it in the first wave, and you can see it at the end of the article. Lumia 930 is included in the initial rollout, which is quite great news for those who purchased the 5-inch flagship, but on the other hand, the bigger 1520 is nowhere to be seen.

At the same time, the affordable flagship Lumia 830 is on the list too, and so is the Lumia 640, in both standard and XL sizes. Lumia 950 is included too, but this obviously refers to just an OS update to bring it in line with the other devices getting the upgrade.

Microsoft is yet to announce the release of Windows 10 Mobile, but given that it’ll take place in stages (which helps keep servers up and running), some devices could get it sooner than others. There are still no details on when the second wave could arrive, but there’s no doubt that Microsoft wants to release it as soon as possible to keep everyone pleased.

Here’s the list of devices to be updated as part of the initial rollout:
