Windows 10 Mobile Preview Users Slowly Losing Patience Due to the Lack of Builds

Windows 10 Mobile is still nowhere to be seen despite the “leaked” dates that first suggested December and then January as a possible month to get the new operating system.

At the same time, the Windows Insider program doesn't seem to advance fast enough for Windows 10 Mobile users, and builds continue to land at a slower pace than for PCs, despite Redmond’s intention to speed up the cadence especially as they near the final development stage.

So it’s no surprise that more and more users are losing their patience waiting for the final bits of Windows 10 Mobile or at least new builds, and some of them blast on Twitter, where Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, seems to be the go-to person for this kind of complaints.

“No new builds today”

This is exactly what happened a few hours ago, when Aul announced that no new builds would be released today, with some hardcore Windows Phone fans accusing him and Microsoft of treating Windows 10 Mobile as a non-important product.

“Windows 10 Mobile is fading away,” some said, although Aul clearly pointed out that “not having a build today only means that we don’t have a build today. It doesn’t mean Mobile isn’t important to us.”

And he’s certainly right. Microsoft is putting a lot of effort into the development process of Windows 10 Mobile, but with so many supposed delays and with the long wait for every new build, it’s kind of natural to see some users losing their patience.

What’s more, the last few days have been tense for the Windows Phone community, with Microsoft rolling out new exclusive applications for iOS (and not available on Windows 10 Mobile), and Joe Belfiore himself using an iPhone to post photos on Twitter.

At the end of the day, however, Windows 10 Mobile remains a pretty good platform that still needs updates, so let’s just hope that these updates will arrive before it’s too late.
