New build currently being tested in the internal rings

Microsoft has just rolled out a new Windows 10 Redstone preview build for PCs, and now rumor has it that the company is preparing to push to insiders a new version of the mobile operating system too.

WMPU has noticed that the company is internally testing Windows 10 Mobile build 11105, but at the moment, it appears that this particular version is still in the fast ring. However, if everything goes according to plan, it could make it through the internal slow ring and then reach the public fast track sometime next week.

It’s not yet clear what is new in this build, but it’s believed that Microsoft is focusing specifically on improving performance and fixing bugs, as the company is still working on getting the stable version of Windows 10 Mobile ready for Windows Phone devices.

As usual, the public release of any Windows 10 preview build can be postponed at the very last minute in case a major bug is found, so fingers crossed for this one to advance smoothly to the remaining rings.

Windows 10 Mobile launch

While some people are interested in getting a new preview build, all eyes are on the stable version of Windows 10 Mobile that’s supposed to allow Windows Phone device owners to upgrade to the new operating system too.

A new rumor claims that Microsoft has decided to delay Windows 10 Mobile until February, after it initially planned to ship it in December and then in January.

The company has not yet confirmed this timetable, but some carriers have already completed the testing process of Windows 10 Mobile and are now said to be waiting for Microsoft’s go-ahead. It’s not yet clear if Microsoft indeed wants to wait until February to push Windows 10 Mobile to Windows Phone users, but the company had better hurry up because everyone seems to be losing their patience.
