Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Mobile Redstone build 14267 last week for new devices that ship with Windows 10, including Lumia 950, 950 XL, 550, and 650, and it turns out that the company’s already working on a new update that could ship as soon as this week.

A screenshot posted by Twitter user @tfwboredom indicates that the next build to be released by Microsoft could be 14267.1004 and since the company promised to accelerate the release cadence of its releases, it’s only natural to expect this one to arrive this week.

At this point, there are no specifics available and all we have is this screenshot that shouldn’t be taken for granted, so we can’t tell for sure if .1004 is indeed the next release for insiders.

But since the original Redstone build, which was version number .1002, was only aimed at new Lumia devices, this one could be the first to be shipped to all devices participating to the Windows Insider program, including old Windows Phone handset.

Cumulative update or new build?

Furthermore, Microsoft might very well release it as a cumulative update for devices currently running .1002 and keep it an exclusive build for new Lumia phones for a few more days before releasing it to everyone participating in the insider program.

Redstone is the codename of the next update for Windows 10 PCs and smartphones, but specifics on timing are not available for the mobile version. According to people close to the matter, the PC version of Windows 10 Redstone could land in the summer of this year and if Microsoft is indeed working to synchronize releases, mobile devices could get it at the same time.

Of course, there are a lot of unknown details at this point and everything can change overnight given that Redstone is still in the works, so take everything as a rumor for the time being.

Update: this rumor turned out to be true, as Microsoft has just released Windows 10 Mobile build .1004.
