14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just released a new Windows 10 build for the fast ring of the Windows Insider program as we move closer to the public launch of the Anniversary Update in July.
Windows 10 build 14376 is available for both PC and Mobile and is fully concentrated on bug fixes and performance improvements, as the focus is no longer on developing new features, but on getting the update ready for the launch next month.
Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, says that there are no less than 1,800 fixes in this latest build, which makes it obvious that we are approaching the moment when the Anniversary Update finally goes live.
Microsoft has managed to address the majority of issues reported in the previous builds, including the bug causing the networks or VPN connections in the network flyout on the taskbar not to launch correctly. Furthermore, there’s a new store update on both PCs and mobile devices that should correct the recently reported problems causing the store either to crash or to freeze when using it.
No known bugs in the PC build
Another important thing that’s worth mentioning is that the PC build comes with absolutely no known issues, and this is living proof that development advances quite well and everything runs smoothly.
“We don’t have any known issues to list at the moment for PC. If anything comes up, we’ll update this post and add them here,” Microsoft says.
As far as the mobile build is concerned, it comes with the same new backup system that makes it impossible to restore the Start screen layout, but also with battery issues on a number of Windows Phone devices, such as Lumia 830, 930, and 1520. Wi-Fi disconnect problems are also being worked on, and so is a bug that blocks you from using touch to interact with a PDF in Microsoft Edge.
