WhatsApp has just received an update for iPhones and iPads, bringing filters to pictures, videos and GIFs shared on the messaging application. In addition, WhatsApp received a new feature that allows the app to automatically group pictures into an album.

WhatsApp for iOS has just received an update that brings new features and improvements to its users. The app now has more filters for pictures, videos and GIFs, including pop, black and white, cool, chrome and film, according to a report.

The app also received a feature for automatically sorting pictures and videos into albums. The files shared in conversations will now appear as a tile, making them easier to view even in smartphones with smaller screens.

WhatsApp’s update brings Reply Shortcuts

The application for iOS also brings Reply Shortcuts which allows users to reply to a certain message with a simple swipe right. Although the new features already started rolling out to iOS WhatsApp users, it’s unclear when Android users will receive them. However, it shouldn’t be long until Reply Shortcuts, filters for pictures and automatic album sorting will arrive to Android as well.

Recently, WhatsApp added encryption to iCloud backups, allowing users to store their messages in iCloud safely and increase security against hackers. In addition, WhatsApp added a new feature that allows users to pin up to three chats to the top.

The tool makes it easy for users who have multiple saved conversations to get quick access to chats that they use the most. WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that would allow users to unsend messages, pictures, videos, GIFs and documents shared in chats. The feature would let users revoke even Status replies, provided that they were sent within a five-minute window. WABetaInfo tweeted that the feature was spotted in a previous version and could be remotely enabled in WhatsApp versions above 2.17.30.
