Earlier this week, the beta version of WhatsApp Messenger received a small update on the Windows Phone platform.

Although the previous update only included some under-the-hood improvements, it's still not available for the stable version of the application.

Today, developers have released yet another update for WhatsApp beta, but this time, there's a new feature that users will really love.

According to NPU, the new update brings WhatsApp beta users new emoji. The new feature has been released on both Android and iOS platforms for quite some time now, but somehow Windows Phone operating system has been skipped.

The good news is developers are now testing this feature in the beta program, so we expect the new emoji to be available to all WhatsApp users on Windows Phone platform.

Since the previous update came with some significant performance improvements, there's a high chance that developers will finally bring all these new features and enhancements to the stable version.

Quite a few updates have been released for the beta application lately

For those who did not read out the previous report, WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone received a small update earlier this week, which seems to have removed the loading or resuming screen.

Developers have found a way to speed up the start-up so that users won't have to wait for the application to load. Hopefully, when the stable version is updated, this improvement will be part of the upgrade.

WhatsApp Beta for Windows Phone is not available for download for the general public, but if you have already been admitted into the beta program, you can now download this update that will bring you new emoji.

For the rest of you, Windows Phone users, let's hope the newest improvements and features included in WhatsApp Beta will be released for the stable version sooner rather than later.
