Microsoft has officially started the November 2018 Patch Tuesday rollout, and naturally, cumulative updates for Windows 10 devices are also included.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update, also known as version 1803, is getting cumulative update KB4467702, which comes with critical security fixes detailed below – the full changelog is available in the box after the jump.

Worth noting is that this cumulative update increases the OS build number to 17134.407, and you can check whether it installed successfully by typing winver in the Start menu. If this is the version number of your Windows 10 installation, you’re already up-to-date and cumulative update KB4467702 installed correctly on your computer.

As it happens every month on Patch Tuesday, the cumulative updates landing today are fully focused on resolving security vulnerabilities, but other non-security fixes are included too.

Browser security improvements

When it comes to security, cumulative update KB4467702 resolves flaws in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer, and in other components of Windows 10. If you’re using any of the two browsers as your daily driver, you should update the system as soon as possible.

You can install this update from Windows Update, and a system reboot will be required. Delta updates are also available on the Microsoft Update Catalog if you’re already up-to-date and just want to get the improvements that Microsoft has developed since the previous cumulative updates.

KB4467702 appears to install correctly at this point, but again, we haven’t experienced too many issues with cumulative updates in the past. Keep an eye on Softpedia in the coming hours as we’ll report any potential issues making the rounds from users across the world.
