As many of you probably know by now, Obsidian's The Outer Worlds is already out on PC and console, but for those who didn't have the chance to start their journey to Halcyon colony, Private Division released a brand new trailer that explains everything you need to know about the game.

Although there's no mention in any of the official announcements that this would be a Fallout spiritual successor, we can't shake the feeling that we're actually playing Fallout 5. The game is developed by co-game directors Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, original creators of Fallout, who reunited for the new single-player RPG, and from the renowned team at Obsidian, developers of Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and the Pillars of Eternity franchise.

We do recommend watching the video if you didn't play the game yet since it's spoiler-free, but here is a quick rundown if you don't want to risk it. In The Outer Worlds, players awake from hibernation after drifting in space for seventy years on a lost colonist ship, the Hope.

The Hope is a part of a galaxy that's been purchased by a conglomerate of corporations that are now controlling all aspects of life. The group of corporations, dubbed Halcyon, is hiding a dark secret that could destroy the colony.

You'll adventure on multiple planets, explore distinct locations in the game’s vibrant world while encountering various factions that might or might not help you uncover the dark secret that could put an end to the Halcyon colony.

Just like in the Fallout games, The Outer Worlds offers players multiple ways to handle combat. For example, you can augment your stealth skills and don a holographic disguise and slip unnoticed past watchful guards, or you could enhance your engineering skills and take control of security systems to distract the enemy.

Our review for The Outer Worlds is already in the works, but there are already quite a lot out there that confirms the game's great in case you had second thoughts on whether or not you should get it.
