14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, while out for walkies with his human, Louie the dog noticed a pod of dolphins swimming close to shore, not far from the rocks he and his owner were exploring.
Always the adventurer, Louie jumped into the water looking to greet them, maybe even hang out with them for a while and pretend he were a merdog or something of sorts.
The encounter was caught on film by the pooch's owner, who posted it online just last week. The video has since been viewed tens of thousands of times.
At first, the dolphins took a keen interest in the bizarre creature that had dared intrude on their territory and swam up to Louise. Seconds later, however, they turned their backs on him.
Not wanting to give up on his new crew just like that, the pooch tried to follow them for a while. Unfortunately, his limited swimming abilities did not get him all that far.
Realizing that he was not wanted, Louie did not hesitate to return to shore when his human called out for him. After all, the dolphins didn't look like they were traveling with tasty snacks tied to their tail, so why bother following them around?
