14 DAY TRIAL // Bounty of Blood is the next campaign add-on for Borderlands 3, that much we already knew since Gearbox revealed the new content last month. However, we get to see for the first time since the add-on was announced actual gameplay footage showing some of the new enemies and weapons it will bring.
Extended footage of Borderlands 3's Bounty of Blood campaign add-on has been revealed recently in the form of a 15-minute video, which we've included below. According to developers, players should expect a gritty Western tale filled with new characters and added gameplay features.
For those who don't know, Borderlands 3’s third campaign add-on Bounty of Blood will be released for PC and consoles on June 25. The new content is included with the Borderlands 3 Season Pass and Super Deluxe Edition, so if you have any of these, you'll receive it for free.
So, besides the fact that Bounty of Blood features an all-new setting – the harsh desert planet of Gehenna, we now learn that players can interact with an entirely new cast of characters as an unseen narrator commentates on their adventures.
Your new mission is to claim a bounty on The Devil Riders, a vicious gang of bandits that’s been terrorizing the small town of Vestige. Naturally, you'll run into fresh faces like Rose, a warrior who's adept with pistol and katana alike, and Juno, a rough-and-tumble brawler with a checkered past.
More importantly, all your actions will have a direct impact on Vestige and its denizens, as you help build the town back up through story missions and Crew Challenges. As mentioned earlier, Bounty of Blood features several gameplay additions, like the customizable JetBeast hoverbike that'll help players traverse the open plains quickly.
In addition, four brand new interactive objects that will aid players in combat and exploration are included in the add-on as well. The Traitorweed, for example, can temporarily turn enemies into allies when shot, while the Breezebloom will boost your Vault Hunter to great heights so you can reach otherwise-out-of-reach areas.
