14 DAY TRIAL // They say Windows Phone is dying, and there are users out there who decide to jump ship and move to Android and iOS, not only because of the criticism but also because Microsoft sticks with the secrecy that leaves the future of the platform in doubt.
And yet, there are companies who still believe in Windows 10 Mobile, and Japanese firm NuAns is the best example in this regard.
NuAns is kickstarting its NEO Windows 10 Mobile phone, trying to raise funds to start production of the device and provide users who still love the platform with a highly customizable handset.
Spec-wise, it’s hard to find the NEO impressive, and it’s not in any way supposed to be a flagship. The device comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, a Snapdragon 617 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage plus microSD card support, a 13-megapixel main camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3,350 mAh battery, and USB Type-C charging port with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
Additionally, it supports Continuum and comes with an NFC module, so you can easily make payments with the phone.
Interchangeable covers made of various materials
But what’s truly special about it is that it offers a high level of customization, as the company built the phone with interchangeable covers made from various materials, including wood, leather, and plastic. They are painted in different colors and give a very high-quality look and feel, and what’s more, the company is offering the design to users so they can print their own if they want to.
“In addition to changing covers, the TWOTONE case comes with a slot for credit cards behind the back panel. Simply remove the back panel and slide your credit card in for a night on the town!” the company explains.
