Motorola has recently launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Moto Z Force, during the Tech World. You probably know that the Moto Z family comes with very useful module accessories, MotoMods, which allow users to add extra functionality. They will be available at Verizon this summer, and we've found out that their prices have just leaked.

Moto Z series and MotoMods are expected to launch at Verizon this summer with the Droid branding while the unlocked variants of the phone will be available in September. According to a post on Reddit, Verizon has divulged prices for the MotoMods, and they’re quite higher than expected, with some calling them “overpriced.”

Verizon has posted the prices in its mobile app, but it hasn’t made them available on the website, which indicates that this is a slip-up from the company. Moreover, the MotoMods were rumored to feature quite different prices.

The Insta-Share Projector is priced at $299

The Insta-Share Projector will have the highest price of $299 for a module that attaches to the Moto Z and allows users to project videos to a wall, together with integrated speaker functionality. The module can project images measuring up to 70 inches in diagonal.

JBL SoundBoost will cost $79.99 and provide 6W stereo sound, 80-decibel volume, and a 10-hour battery life. It can charge as it plays using a USB-C connection.

TUMI Power Pack is priced at $89 and comes with a 2,200mAh battery. The TUMI Wireless Charging Power Pack costs $99 and ensures up to 22 hours of additional power while Kate Space Style Shells cost $80, a bit high considering their purpose is mainly an aesthetical one.

While these modules are truly impressive in design and architecture, there are affordable alternatives on the market that wouldn’t have users break the bank for additional functionality.

In addition to that, MotoMods have been compared to LG G5's not-so-successful range of accessories, which also had a limited customer base, due to their relatively high prices. Now, it seems that Motorola might end up in a similar situation.
