Google has major issues meeting demand for its flagship

For some reason, Verizon has decided that the Pixel phones should be available for purchase in the United States exclusively through Verizon Wireless. Your other option, Google Play store, will allow you to purchase either of the two phones for the full price, but you won't be able to use it on Verizon or Sprint.

The unlocked Pixel and Pixel XL phones work on T-Mobile and AT&T, which is why the former has already outed an interesting offer for those who want to bring their own device on its network.

Even so, it looks like Google is unable to meet the high demand for the Pixel phones. Despite the fact that the smartphone is only available in a few countries, stocks are dwindling, and many customers have to wait more than a few weeks until they receive their phones.

Verizon, the only carrier selling the Pixel XL in the United States, has just confirmed that the smartphone won't be shipped until January 13, 2017. Basically, customers who order the Pixel XL will have to wait more than a month until the device reaches their hands.

The good news, if it's any good, is that the exclusive blue version of the Pixel XL will ship slightly earlier than the Black or White models.

If you choose the blue Pixel XL, you will probably receive your phone on or around December 28. This means you will wait just one more month for your phone.

If you absolutely need to own a Google smartphone, then you might want to take into consideration ordering the Pixel phone. Verizon is shipping the Black and White versions right away, so you might not have to wait more than a few days.

Keep in mind, though, that the blue Pixel is a hard-to-come-by smartphone. Verizon won't ship the device until December 20, so you'd better order the Pixel XL that's supposed to ship just one week later.
