It looks like there are a plethora of vampire-focused games coming to PC and consoles in the coming months. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong was clearly overshadowed by a more important title that's supposed to come out sometime this year, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, but that's understandable considering the different magnitude of these projects.

Anyway, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong does seem like a very interesting game, and to add to the excitement let's mention that the studio behind it is the same team that made The Council, an amazing adventure game that we believe it's way underrated.

It's no surprise that Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a narrative RPG experience, but what's more interesting is that it's being adapted from the 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. In Swansong, players will take control of three vampires belonging to different clans of the Camarilla, each with their own abilities and opinions about The Masquerade, the vampire law designed to conceal the existence of creatures of the night from humans.

Just like in The Council, Swansong's gameplay puts the emphasis on consequences, which means you'll have to analyze each situation carefully, as the choices you make during the investigation, and your social interactions with characters can have a lasting impact on the fate of your heroes’ lives and the fate of the Camarilla.

During Nacon Connect earlier this week, the folks at Big Bad Wolf released a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong that shows the premise of the game, but no gameplay at all. Despite that, Swansong shapes up to be a promising narrative RPG and we're confident that the team behind The Council will not disappoint.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is expected to be out sometime in 2021 on PC (via Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
