Indie developer Draw Distance announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York will launch on Nintendo Switch on March 24. The studio also confirmed that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports are on the way too, but couldn't offer an ETA yet beyond “this year.”

Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York is a visual novel set in the World of Darkness universe and it's based on the Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition rules. The game was initially released on PC back in December, but it's now slowly rolling out to consoles.

Fans of the World of Darkness universe might want to know that the game focuses on the struggle for power between two vampiric factions: the conservator Camarilla and the independent Anarchs. Even though it's presented as a visual novel, the game lets you choose between three pre-defined characters belonging to three different factions: Ventrue, Toreador, and Brujah.

Each of these characters comes with his own set of skills and abilities specific to vampire clan they belong to. Also, depending on what character the player chooses, they will have to opt for different ethical approaches when certain issues arise.

That also means that you'll be seeing the event unfolding from the perspective the clan you're representing, so multiple playthroughs are quite alright if you like the game.

Now the big news is the console version of the game will contain additional content, including new graphics assets (new character portraits, new location backgrounds), improved music, and lots of bug fixes.

Also, a big game artbook and game soundtrack with 13 tracks will be released on Steam, GOG, and other digital outlets on March 24, along with a major update for the PC version that will add all the new stuff mentioned above. There's no word on the price yet, but we don't expect the Nintendo Switch version to cost more than €20 / $20, just like the PC game.
