14 DAY TRIAL // Valve kicked off today its Steam Summer Sale, which promises to bring big game discounts for many popular titles from a wide-range of developers over the next two weeks.
Dubbed Steam Intergalactic Summer Sale, the campaign starts today, June 21st and ends on July 5th, 2018. Besides huge discounts for numerous games available on Valve's Steam digital distribution platform, the sale will also allow gamers to unlock free titles by playing Valve's Summer Saliens Game.
Valve named this year's sale Steam Intergalactic Summer Sale after the Summer Saliens Game it developed specifically for it, where gamers can team up with other "Saliens" to fight the so-called The Dulddrumz across multiple planets in an attempt to free as many games as possible.
During the gameplay, users will be able to also receive XP to level up their Steam profiles, as well as to unlock new abilities and win cosmetic items that they can use to deck out their "Salien." Furthermore, the Steam Intergalactic Summer Sale will get gamers Summer Sale Trading Cards just for playing.
"Choose to battle on a planet that piques your interest and you'll automatically be entered for a chance to win one of its rewards when it's conquered," said Valve in today's announcement. "The longer your Salien spends on a planet the higher your chances of winning! The groups with the most tiles when a planet is taken will get to plant their flag as conquerors, undoubtedly gaining Saliverse-wide fame in the process."
